The story of Stanley/Stella
Stanley/Stella was founded in Brussels in 2012 with the goal of establishing fair and sustainable premium apparel as a realistic alternative to conventional promo textiles. Today the brand is one of the largest suppliers of GOTS-certified organic t-shirts in Europe, supplying thousands of printers, brand agencies and B2B distributors.
The key facts:
- Headquarters: Brussels, Belgium
- Production: Bangladesh (Fair Wear-certified factories)
- Fibre: GOTS-certified organic cotton
- Social standard: member of the Fair Wear Foundation
- Range: more than 80 models in over 50 colours
The brand is clearly aimed at printers and finishing operations — the models are optimised for printing and embroidery. Clean cut, smooth surface, defined colours.
Top models per category
T-shirts: Creator and Rocker
The Creator is the bestseller. Unisex cut, 180 g/m² organic cotton, straight cut, ring-spun and combed. Ideal for company shirts, promo activities and crew apparel. The Creator is available in over 40 colours — from classic shades like black, white, navy through to fashion colours such as sage, heather mauve or mid heather grey.
The Rocker is the slimmer, more fashion-fit variant with similar fabric weight. Popular for bachelorette shirts, festival crews and brand merch.
Finishing recommendation: Digital print (DTG) delivers excellent results on the soft organic cotton, because the ink penetrates deeper. Screen print from 50 pieces for brilliant, durable prints. More in our digital print overview.
Hoodies: Cruiser and Drummer
The Cruiser hoodie is the classic — 350 g/m² organic cotton/polyester blend, cosy inner fleece, hood with drawcord, kangaroo pocket. Top for company hoodies and club outfits. The Cruiser fits unisex but is cut in a way that works well for both men and women.
The Drummer hoodie is the heavier premium variant (320-380 g/m²). Higher quality on the body, slightly more expensive in purchase. Ideal for brand merch where quality should be signalled.
Finishing recommendation: Embroidery for elegant chest logos, screen print or DTF for large back motifs.
Polos: Stroller
The Stroller polo is the elegant choice for staff apparel in service industries, hospitality and field service. Organic piqué, classic polo cut with placket. Looks higher-end than most promo polos on the market — ideal when the staff outfit should signal more than just function.
Finishing recommendation: Embroidery for chest logos. Prints on the piqué material usually look less elegant.
Sweatshirts: Vibes and Changer
The Vibes sweatshirt is the unisex sweater standard variant (350 g/m²). Classic, casual, easy to print on. Popular for class outfits, club jumpers and casual crew.
The Changer is the premium sweater with slightly more weight and a more refined look — often used for brand merch.
Finishing recommendation: Digital print or DTF for photo motifs, screen print or embroidery for logos.
Tank tops, caps and more
Stanley/Stella additionally offers tank tops (e.g. Dreamer), kids' models (Mini Creator), organic caps and a few jumper variants. We carry the most important models in the configurator — special models on request.

Care tips
Stanley/Stella models typically tolerate:
- 30-40 degree machine wash
- When printed: wash inside out, no tumble dryer
- Ironing: at medium temperature, not directly on print/embroidery
- Recommended: wash bag for small items
With proper care the shirts last for many wash cycles. More in the article on care for printed shirts.
When does Stanley/Stella pay off?
Top choice for:
- Company shirts with CSR ambition
- Staff apparel in sustainability-oriented industries
- Brand merch (bands, agencies, small labels)
- Club jumpers with long-term wear
Less suitable for:
- One-off mass promo activities with throwaway character
- Highly functional sports kit (rather functional fabric makers like James & Nicholson, Russell Athletic)
- Very tight budget specifications (Fruit of the Loom or B&C cheaper)
