Organic cotton (B&C Inspire) cools according to customer feedback one to two degrees more than standard cotton. Three technical reasons:
- Denser fibre structure — organic cotton is mechanically more densely woven, air circulates better
- Natural fibre breathability — no polyester densification, sweat is wicked to the outer fibres
- OEKO-TEX certification — no chemical impregnations that reduce breathability
At 30 °C-plus on festival meadows (Hurricane at 35 °C is not unusual) the comfort difference is noticeable. Polyester performance (Tee Jays CoolDry) is the right choice for even more extreme conditions — moisture-wicking, sweat-resistant, but less skin feel.
Festival hoodie for evening hours
Festival evenings in DE often turn cooler than expected — even in summer, the festival meadow in the mountains or by the sea (Hurricane Scheessel) can drop to 12 °C. Does the print survive summer sun and sweat?
DTG on organic cotton survives 30+ washes at 40 °C without visible fading — at intense UV exposure on festival meadows light fading can appear after 30 washes. For 50+ washes we recommend screen print (from 20 pieces) or DTF. Sublimation on polyester (Tee Jays CoolDry) is practically indestructible.
Which printing technique lasts longest under UV radiation?
Screen print and DTF are most UV-stable (50+ washes without fading). Flex print is very UV-stable for pure lettering. DTG is the least UV-stable — under extreme sun (Tomorrowland, Roskilde) light fading after 30 washes is normal. For festival memorabilia character we recommend screen print or DTF.
